Brookman Candle & Co. offers private, guided candle-making workshops throughout Western Massachusetts and the Berkshires. Whether you're hosting a birthday celebration, bridal shower, corporate gathering, holiday party, fundraiser, or simply a cozy evening with friends, we'll bring the candle-making experience to you.
Each guest will create their own candle using our signature coconut-soy wax blend and a selection of phthalate-free fragrances, with seasonal vessels and decorative details available throughout the year.

How It Works
Choose your location and gather your group. Private workshops may be hosted at a private home, business, or approved venue. If using a third-party venue, the host is responsible for confirming that candle making is permitted.
Brookman Candle & Co. arrives approximately one hour before the scheduled workshop to set up. Workshops generally run about two hours, followed by cleanup.
Group Size
Private workshops require a minimum of 10 guests. Our typical workshop capacity is up to 30 guests.
Have a larger group? We can accommodate groups of up to approximately 50 guests with advance planning, additional staffing, and any applicable additional deposit or event requirements.
Host Perk
When 12 or more paying guests attend, the host's candle is complimentary.
What Brookman Provides

- One 6-foot or 8-foot work table for Brookman's equipment and supplies
Food and beverages are not provided by Brookman Candle & Co. Hosts and venues may provide their own refreshments where permitted.
What We Need From Your Space
We require access to one standard electrical outlet near the workshop area.
The host or venue is responsible for providing adequate guest tables, chairs, and a suitable workspace. Brookman will bring the work table needed for our equipment and supplies.
Because warm wax is used during the workshop, a hard-surface work area is preferred. Appropriate protection should be used for any surfaces that could be affected by wax.
Pricing + Vessel Options
Private workshops start at $55 per person for a regular bowl-shaped vessel. Workshop pricing is based on the candle vessel and experience selected. Vessel choices and seasonal upgrades change throughout the year, so your event quote will reflect the options available for your date.
Any pricing, inclusions, upgrades, minimums, or additional charges will be disclosed before your event is booked.
Booking + Deposit
A $110 deposit is required to reserve a private workshop date and is applied toward the final event balance. The deposit is not refundable if cancelled.
Your date is not considered reserved until the required deposit and booking details have been completed.
Cancellation, rescheduling, payment, and other event-specific terms will be provided as part of your booking agreement before your reservation is finalized. Tell us as soon as you can if you need to reschedule and we'll talk through options.
Payment
Depending on the event, the host may collect payment from guests or Brookman Candle & Co. may provide a ticket or registration link. We will determine the best option with you during booking.
Candle Care After Your Workshop
Freshly poured candles need time to cure before their first burn. We will provide guests with appropriate candle-care and first-burn guidance for the candle created at the event.
Safety
Candle making involves warm wax and workshop equipment. Guests must follow Brookman Candle & Co. safety instructions throughout the event.
Please let us know about any relevant allergies, sensitivities, accessibility needs, or other considerations before the workshop so we can discuss appropriate accommodations.
Children participating in workshops must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult. Ages 6+ with adult supervision. Age and participation requirements may vary depending on the workshop format and venue.
Our Materials
Brookman candles are made with our coconut-soy wax blend and phthalate-free fragrance oils. Our candle wax is paraffin-free.
